BELL, THURMANCoaching

  • 45 years as head football coach at Roseburg High School.
  • Coaching record of 332-154-1 and had 4 undefeated seasons.
  • Ranks #2 in the state in all-time wins behind Oregon Sports Hall of Famer Dewey Sullivan.
  • Made 9 appearances in state title games.
  • Won 3 state championships & 1 co-championship.
  • 2011 NFHS National Coach of the Year.

 

 

EATON, ASHTON – Track & Field

  • 2-time Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist (2012, 2016)
  • 2-time World Championships Decathlon Gold Medalist (2013, 2015), Silver (2011)
  • 3-time World Indoor Heptathlon Gold Medalist (2012, 2014, 2016)
  • 2012 Decathlon World Record holder (9,039 pts), set new WR in 2015 (9,045 pts)
  • Three-time NCAA Decathlon Champion (2008, 2009, 2010) at Univ. of Oregon
  • Two-time NCAA Heptathlon Champion (2009, 2010) & Three-time Pac-10 champion (2008, 2009, 2010)

  • 2016 Olympic Bronze Medalist, Heptathlon. Two-time Olympian for Canada.
  • 2016 Gold Medal, 2014 Silver Medal, Pentathlon, World Indoor Championships
  • 2013 & 2015 Silver Medal, World Championships, Heptathlon
  • Canadian record holder for the heptathlon and indoor pentathlon
  • 2009 & 2010 NCAA Heptathlon Champion for University of Oregon
  • 2010 & 2011 NCAA Indoor Pentathlon Champion

 

 

PAULSON, AARON – Adaptive Sports

  • US Paralympic Swim Team member 1992-2008.
  • Paralympic Games 1992 & 1996; won Gold Medal in 4×50 freestyle relay and 4×50 medley relay, won Bronze Medal in 100m breaststroke. Also, competed in 2000, 2004, & 2008 Paralympic Games.
  • US World Championship Swim Team Member from 1994 until 2006.
  • 2002 World Championships won Bronze in 100m breaststroke
  • 2005 member of US Pan Am team: won Silver in 100m breaststroke & Bronze in 200 individual medley.
  • 1998 Male Athlete of the Year for Wheelchair & Ambulatory Sports, USA.
  • 2012 Oregon Disabled Sports Hall of Fame Inductee.

 

 

2002 UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND WOMEN’S SOCCER – Teams

  • 2002 NCAA National Champions coached by Clive Charles
  • First national title in any sport for the Pilots
  • The #8 seeded Pilots were the lowest seed to make and win the championship game.
  • Season record of 19-4-3. Outscored opponents 48-12 during the season.
  • Christine Sinclair, Lauren Orlandos, Erin Misaki, and Lauren Arase were named to the all-tournament team.
  • Sinclair won the Offensive MVP honors and Arase set NCAA playoff record (0.16 GAA), allowing just one goal in six games.

 

 

2006-2007 OREGON STATE BASEALL – Teams

  • Coach by Pat Casey, won back-to-back National Championships (2006 & 2007) at the College World Series.
  • The Beavers (50-16) won six elimination games in Omaha to win the title in 2006.
  • In 2007 (49-18), they were 5-0 in the CWS to repeat as champions.
  • Awards & honors: Darwin Barney, Dallas Buck, Kevin Gunderson, Cole Gillespie, Shea McFeely, Jonah Nickerson, Bill Rowe, Mitch Canham, Mike Lissman, Jorge Reyes, Scott Santschi, and Joey Wong.
  • In all, a total of sixteen players were selected in the 2006 & 2007 MLB Drafts.
