Joni Huntley (born August 4, 1956) starred in the high jump in high school and college and won the bronze medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Summer Games.

Huntley grew up in Sheridan and was a standout in track and field, winning six state titles from 1972-74. Her senior season, Huntley won the 100-yard dash, the 100   meter high hurdles and set a national high school record by clearing 6-feet in the high jump, which helped Sheridan tie Madras for the Class 3A state title. Huntley’s 6-foot jump established a state meet record, which stood until 2013 as the oldest OSAA championship meet record at any classification.

Later in 1974, she won the first of four consecutive national titles in the high jump. Huntley was Oregon State's first female scholarship athletes and, in 1975, won conference titles for Oregon State in the high hurdles, long jump and high jump then national titles in the high jump and long jump. She won gold in the high jump at the 1975 Mexico City Pan-Am Games. In 1976, she cleared 6-feet-2 3/4 inches, which established an Oregon State record that stands through 2025.  Joni qualified for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, and finished eighth.  She continued to train through the 1980 Olympic boycott and finished third in the 1984 Games before retiring in 1987.

Joni Huntley stayed active in track and field for many more years, serving as an assistant coach at OSU and teaching and coaching in Portland Public Schools for decades. She was inducted to the Oregon State Athletics Hall of Fame in 1988.
