Pete Brock (born July 14, 1954) is the older of the two brothers from Vernonia who had lengthy careers as NFL offensive linemen. Pete arrived at Jesuit High School four years before Stan and rode the newfound success of the football program that had just won back-to-back state championships.
Pete’s success at center led to a scholarship at the University of Colorado where he would finish his career with All-America honors in 1975. He would be named to Colorado’s Team of the Century,
Brock was the 12th pick of the 1976 NFL draft by the New England Patriots and spent all of his 12 year pro career with the Pats playing four different positions on the offensive line. He played in 154 games, starting 88, mostly at center but showed his versatility filling in at both guard positions and right tackle as needed. Always alert, Pete recovered five fumbles during his career and played through multiple knee injuries.
After his retirement, Pete became a broadcaster in Boston and has served as president of the Patriots Alumni.
Pete Brock is a member of Jesuit High School Athletics Hall of Fame and the Colorado Athletics Hall of Fame.
