Stan Brock (born June 8, 1958) was the younger of two brothers from Vernonia, four years younger than Pete.  Both starred at Jesuit High School; both played collegiately at Colorado; both were the 12th overall selection of their respective NFL drafts and both played in the Super Bowl.

Stan was an outstanding tackle for the Colorado Buffs. Coach Chuck Fairbanks called him the best pass blocker in the college game.  Brock was selected All-Big 8 and All-America his senior year in 1979.

Stan spent 16 years as a pro, a tremendous feat for an offensive lineman.  He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 1980 and was immediately honored as All-Rookie by the Pro Football Writers of America.  Over the next thirteen seasons he was a constant on the offensive line, at one point making 67 consecutive starts.  Brock was traded to San Diego in 1993 and finished his playing career with a Super Bowl appearance.  He played in a total of 234 NFL games and recovered seven fumbles from his spot on the line.

Stan Brock would have two more careers as coach and broadcaster.  After retirement as a player, he became a head coach in Arena Football for five seasons, the first three with the Portland Forest Dragons.  He was also working on Saints radio broadcasts and later would be a sports anchor at KOIN-TV.

Brock’s coaching career continued in the college ranks at Army, first as offensive line coach then for two seasons as head coach.

Stan Brock is a member of the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame, the Colorado Athletics Hall of Fame and the Jesuit High School Athletics Hall of Fame.
