Percy Bell was Oregon State’s premier distance runner in 1927. He was the Pacific Coast and Northern Division two-mile and cross country champion. He was also a member of the Oregon State four-mile winning relay team at the prestigious Drake Relays, the national championship of relays. Oregon State was the winning team and national champions in that event.

Bell was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1982.
